Step-by-Step Inbox Fix (Do These In Order)

Each step below is ranked by impact. Complete them top to bottom. Most spam problems are fixed by steps 1-3.

Step 1: Disable Click & Open Tracking

This is the #1 spam trigger. When enabled, Resend rewrites your links through clicks.resend.com which breaks domain alignment.

Step 2: Create Sending Subdomain (One-Click)

Sending from your root domain puts your entire domain reputation at risk. This creates a dedicated sending subdomain automatically and shows you the exact DNS records to add.

.letmehelpyoufixit.com

Step 3: Add DNS Records (Copy-Paste)

Click below to fetch the exact DNS records you need to add to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.). These are the records Resend needs for proper email authentication.

Step 4: Warm Up Your Domain

Sending thousands of emails on a cold domain guarantees spam. Start small and increase gradually.

Week 120 emails/day
Week 250 emails/day
Week 3100 emails/day
Week 4250 emails/day
Week 5-6500-1000 emails/day
Week 7+Increase 25% weekly until full volume

Set to 0 or leave empty for unlimited. When set, each daily run will only send up to this many emails.

Step 5: Auto-Remove Bounces & Complaints

High bounce rates destroy your sender reputation. This sets up an automatic webhook so bounced and spam-reported addresses are instantly removed from your list.

Step 6: Verify DNS Authentication

After adding DNS records, run this check to verify everything is set up correctly.

Step 7: Monitor Your Reputation

Additional Tips

  • No PDF attachments for bulk sends. Attachments significantly increase spam scores. Link to files instead.
  • Send at consistent times each day. Random spikes trigger spam filters.
  • Plain text emails have better inbox placement than HTML. This system already sends plain text.
  • DMARC policy: Start with p=none, then move to p=quarantine after 2-3 weeks of clean sending. Microsoft requires DMARC as of May 2025.
